Please read these terms before using AstroVidya (“the app”). By installing or using the app you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not use the app.
AstroVidya generates Vedic astrology content: birth charts (Kundli), horoscopes, Panchang, Muhurta timings, career guidance and Ashtakoota compatibility scores.
This content is provided for personal interest, entertainment and cultural study only. Astrology is not a science and the app makes no claim that its output is accurate, predictive, or true.
The app does not give advice. Nothing it produces is medical, psychological, legal, financial, marital or professional advice, and it must not be treated as any of those. Never delay or disregard advice from a qualified doctor, lawyer, financial adviser or other professional because of something this app told you.
Decisions that matter — about your health, your money, your marriage, your career, or anyone else’s — are yours alone. You take full responsibility for any action you take on the basis of the app’s output. If a matter is important, consult a qualified human professional, and treat this app as no more than a starting point for conversation.
Astronomical positions are computed on your device using published algorithms. They are close to, but will not always exactly match, an ephemeris or another astrology service. Different traditions also use different ayanamsa values, house systems and matching rules, so results can legitimately differ from another astrologer’s. We do not warrant that any calculation is exact.
You are granted a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the app on devices you own or control. You may not copy, sell, sub-licence, reverse engineer or redistribute the app, except to the extent that applicable law expressly permits it despite this clause.
You agree not to use the app unlawfully; not to interfere with or attempt to break its security; not to present its output as professional advice to anyone else; and not to enter another person’s birth details without their knowledge and permission.
The app offers Premium, and the only thing it does is remove ads. Every astrology feature — Kundli, Panchang, Muhurta, matchmaking, horoscopes, career guidance and PDF export — is free for everyone and is never placed behind payment.
Premium is sold as an auto-renewing subscription, monthly or yearly. It renews automatically at the then-current price until you cancel. You can cancel at any time in Google Play → Subscriptions; cancelling stops the next renewal and leaves your access running until the end of the period you have already paid for.
Payment, renewal and cancellation are processed by Google Play under Google’s terms. Refunds are handled by Google Play under Google’s refund policy, and any refund request must be raised with Google. We cannot process payments, renewals or refunds ourselves.
We will not move a feature that is free today, or one you have already paid for, behind an additional payment.
This version of the app shows banner ads, supplied by Google AdMob, to users who do not hold a Premium subscription. They appear only on the main content screens — never during onboarding, on the birth-details form, in Settings, or on this document. Where the law requires it you are asked for your advertising choices before any ad is requested. See section 4 of the Privacy Policy for exactly what an ad request contains: it never includes your birth details, charts, or any other astrology data.
If a future version does show ads, they would be supplied by Google AdMob and subject to Google’s policies, we would not control which specific ads you see, and we would say so in the Privacy Policy and on the Play listing before doing it.
The app is provided as-is. We may change, suspend or discontinue it, or any feature of it, at any time. Because the app works offline, an update or discontinuation does not delete the data already on your device.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the app is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including any implied warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or non-infringement.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any loss of profit, opportunity, data or goodwill, arising out of your use of — or inability to use — the app, however caused. Our total aggregate liability to you for any claim relating to the app is limited to the amount you actually paid for it in the twelve months before the claim.
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.
You agree to indemnify us against any claim brought by a third party arising from your misuse of the app, your breach of these terms, or your presentation of the app’s output as professional advice.
These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts of India have jurisdiction over any dispute, unless the mandatory consumer-protection law of your own country of residence gives you the right to bring proceedings there instead.
We may update these terms. The updated version ships with an app update and the date at the top changes. Continuing to use the app after an update means you accept the revised terms.
